Job Description Position: Shutdown Engineer (QA/QC)
Department: Maintenance - Shutdowns

Job Purpose
To coordinate all Quality Assurance & Quality Control efforts during the preparation and execution stages of Shutdown Management.

Specific Duties:
• Coordinating quality assurance / quality control functions in the planning and implementation of all the Shutdown activities.
• Have primary responsibility of all quality assurance documents in conjunction with contractors. This will encompass procedures and specifications to be used during the Shutdown.
• Develop Shutdown Quality Manual in conjunction with company Quality Manual.
• Be primarily responsible for working with Engineering and Operations in the development and implementation of Shutdown QA/QC.
• Provide on site assistance during installation of equipment and execution of service to ensure compliance to company operating procedures and contract specifications.
• Witness and supervise all pre-job inspection activities relate to service contractors equipment.
• Help to establish process and be primarily responsible for monitoring and benchmarking progress in all quality assurance activities.
• Work with the contracts engineer to establish and maintain management systems to readily determine which suppliers have and have not provided services at a competitive price and in timely manner.
• Establish and maintain processes to monitor benchmark progress in all Quality Assurance activities associated with the Shutdowns.
• Prepares QA/QC reports during preparation stages and execution of Shutdown.
• Develops and secures approval for QA procedures for the control, handling and documentation required to maintain Company Quality Assurance guidelines.
• Participates in the implementation of the Quality Management concepts in line with ISO 900 series protocol.

Knowledge Skills and Experience Required:
B.S. Degree in Engineering
10 years experience in oil & gas field or equivalent, preferably with Mechanical background. General Background of 5 years in Quality assurance / quality control programs related to goods and services used in Oil & Gas operating plant.
Thorough knowledge of sound quality assurance practices. Abreast of best practices and latest technology in meeting minimum industry standards and specifications (such as API and / or ISO 9000) for manufacturing, inspecting, transporting, installation and storing oilfield equipment.
Thorough knowledge in best practices and latest technology in areas such as industry standards and specifications (such as API and/or ISO 9000) for manufacturing, inspecting, storing and maintenance of oil & gas operating plants.
Knowledge of sound quality and inspection practices including industry standards and specifications.
Computer literate, SAP knowledge is desirable.

Extensive experience in dealing with consultants, contractors, vendors and suppliers, particularly those involved in the oil and gas section.
Good adaptability to multinational environments, with wide exposure to various cultures and customs.

Profile Minimum 8 - 10 years diversified experience in the overhaul of petrochemical process or LNG plant, including shutdown planning preparation and execution.

Job Description PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Resolves issues arising from actions or events involving administrative functions throughout the progress of a job from sale to billing of the customer.
