Job Description JOB TITLE : PROJECT COORDINATOR – PWA
Department/Function: Infrastructure Affairs – Delivery Team
Local Roads & Drainage Programme
Reports to : Programme Delivery Manager - PWA
Location : Doha, Qatar
OBJECTIVES:
• Ensure compliance of the project with approved technical standards, processes and procedures.
• Ensure application of PWA policies, processes and procedures.
• Ensure that the required standards of project-level governance are applied on behalf of PWA
• Consistently seek to raise the standards of technical performance of PWA consultants and contractors
• Support the development of capabilities and skills of Qatari staff as part of the capacity building initiative
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Professional Engineer / Project Manager representing PWA as client representative for single or multiple projects.
• Experienced project manager with a proven ability to represent the employer’s interests throughout the project lifecycle.
• Experienced in the management of projects to ensure delivery to time quality and cost objectives.
• Represent the Employer at project progress and coordination meetings
• As Employer’s representative facilitate the coordination of the project with all relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure that the project is implemented by supply chain partners in accordance with PWA’s stated objectives.
• Work in partnership with consultants and contractors to ensure delivery of the project to achieve time, quality and financial objectives.
• Prepare regular performance reports and KPI assessments on the performance of partner organisations on the projects under his/her control.
• Reporting of project progress and performance to the PWA programme team.
• Preparation of regular reports and briefing papers on the technical performance and delivery of the local roads & drainage projects under his/her control.
• Management of risk across the capital programme and preparation of management reports to propose strategies for mitigation.
• Ensure the technical implementation of project gateway approval processes in accordance with PWA procedures.
• Manage the technical approval process to ensure that appropriate PWA resources are mobilised for technical acceptance and approval of standards to be adopted for the programme.

EXPERIENCE AND TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Should have an engineering degree in relevant discipline.
- Should have knowledge of GCC construction industry
