JOB DESCRIPTION –
Lamination Operator (Highly Skilled)
• Operates the lamination machine (includes gas chambers)
• Prepares Glass for lamination.
• Determines the configuration of the interlayer required as per the product.
• Informs superior regarding reducing stocks of materials required in the lamination process.
• Identification, safe handling and appropriate disposal of waste materials used in lamination process
• Cleans equipment and working lamination area
• Performs prevention maintenance in regards with the lamination machine
• Informs superior regarding reducing stocks of materials required for lamination
JOB DESCRIPTION –
Painter (Highly Skilled)
• Will perform all forms of glass painting jobs
• Applies protective and decorative coats of paints and other related materials to the surface of the glass
• Operates compressors, sandblasting machines, and other small power equipment.
• Determines appropriate color for new or replacement applications
• Informs superior regarding reducing stocks of materials required for painting
• Identification, safe handling, and appropriate disposal of all hazardous materials
• Cleans equipments, mixing area, and working area
• Performs prevention maintenance in regards with paint guns, hoses, regulators etc.
JOB DESCRIPTION –
Sandblaster (Highly Skilled)
• Will perform all types of sandblasting jobs
• Applies vinyl and other related materials to the surface of the glass
• Operates compressor, manual sandblasting, automatic sand blasting machine, and other small power machines.
• Determines appropriate texture, style for new or replacement applications
• Informs superior regarding reducing stocks of materials required like aluminum oxide, nozzles, air hoses etc.
• Identification, safe handling, and appropriate disposal of sand residues and other hazardous materials.
• Cleans equipments, materials, and working area.
• Performs preventive maintenance in regards with the sandblasting machines & compressor.
JOB DESCRIPTION –
Helper (Non Skilled)
• Loading and unloading for the Dispatch Department
• Cleaning of working areas
• Lifting the glasses for each subsequent areas; cutting, polishing, beveling, sandblasting, acid department, painting, lamination, fusing, bending, etc.
• Substitutes for absent workers in the production.
• Will help in sorting and labeling of the glasses.
JOB DESCRIPTION –
Production/Shop Floor Manager
• The person should have hands on experience in glass industry
• He should have worked for min 5 to 7 years in a similar industry.
• He should have the capacity to oversee the entire production operations/plan well in advance production schedules/set time frames and deliver as promised
• Should be able to decide on jobs that needs to be outsourced
• Should be able to review the shop drawings forwarded to production
• Should have meticulous follow up skills and ensure timely deliveries from the suppliers/contractors where the job has been sublet.
• Ensure very strict quality control by having strict quality control processes in place
• Carry out timely Maintenance of machineries
• Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed
• Should be able to work under pressure
• Should have good leadership qualities to drive the team
JOB DESCRIPTION –
Project Manager:
Apart from normal and basic requisites, below are some requirements specifically required for glass industry, like ours;
• Should have hands on and thorough knowledge of production(processing of glasses) and installation process
• Should have handled and managed known projects
• Should effectively be able to calculate resources like material, labor and time that would be required to complete a job
• should track and coordinate projects from initiation to successful completion
• Should be able to read and understand drawings, accurately. And should have all knowledge regarding glass accessories and related products
• should have the communication skills to liaise with project managers/consultants/site foreman’s
• should be able to plan and schedule work for sites, for timely completion of works
• should have the ability to solve impromptu problems at sites
• should be peoples person but should also ensure that tasks are completed on time and peoples potential are nurtured to max
• should be able to work under pressure and ensure targets are met
• Should be able to generate periodic reports to management.
