Job Description JOB TITLE : PLANNER/SCHEDULER – LOCAL ROADS & DRAINAGE
Reports to : Programme Manager – Local Roads & Drainage

OBJECTIVES:
• Ensure compliance of LR&D programme with approved schedule processes and procedures
• Ensure application of PWA policies, processes and procedures
• Ensure that the required standards of governance are applied on behalf of PWA
• Consistently seek to raise the standards of performance of PWA consultants and contractors
• Support the development of capabilities and skills of Qatari staff as part of the capacity building initiative

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Project Planner responsible for day today monitoring of the progress of the capital programme.
• Responsible for the collation and verification of programme and schedule data received from supply chain partners comprising PMC, Design consultants and Contractors.
• Experienced in the detailed analysis of design and construction activity schedules to determine the impact of change events on the overall schedule. Undertake a detailed analysis of the master schedule to confirm compliance with PWA’s programme objectives.
• Work in partnership with consultants and contractors to ensure delivery of the capital programme to achieve time, quality and financial objectives.
• Responsible for application of governance procedures to provide regular and validated reports on programme and project schedule performance.
• Preparation of regular reports and briefing papers on the progress of the local roads & drainage programme.
• Analysis of time and schedule risk across the capital programme and preparation of management reports to propose strategies for mitigation.
• Management of the performance of the PMC and consultants and provision of feedback to ensure continuous improvement in the quality of service delivered through the supply chain..
• Ensure the implementation of project gateway approval processes in accordance with PWA procedures.
• Detailed Monitoring of progress reports and schedules submitted by the PMC.
• Preparation of reports and briefing documents to ensure that programme performance is monitored according to PWA requirements.

Work closely with planning staff from the PMC to ensure that schedule data is coordinated between partners.

EXPERIENCE AND TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Should have an engineering degree in relevant discipline.
- Should have knowledge of GCC construction industry
