Project Electrical Senior Specialist - Qatar Petrochemical Company

Job Description
A. PURPOSE OF THE JOB

 To provide construction expertise in the relevant discipline during all stages of project; to interface with site contractors, manage site activities and to report on construction schedules, requirements, and specifications

 B. TASKS PERFORMED
 1. Liaises with counterparts within project management team, QAPCO’s permanent organization and Contractor’s site organization
 2. Reviews and comments on site construction documents relating to the discipline, ensuring correct implementation of project approved procedures and specifications
 3. Follows-up on the progress of the discipline construction activities ensuring they are in line with the approved schedule
 4. Provides assurance that project construction activities are prepared and executed in safe manner in full compliance with the applicable safety, quality, environmental and technical standards
 5. Supervises and reports on discipline planning, progress control and appraisal of the activities
 6. Ensures proper and accurate documentation is produced and updated through for all construction activities in the discipline and all alternate designs or changes are recorded and approved
 7. Participates in the inspection of equipment and materials, upon its arrival at site ensuring compliance with constructability requirements
 8. Provides technical support within the discipline to Engineering, HSE, QA/QC and Pre-commissioning departments
 9. Participates actively in planning, monitoring, and progress controlling of the Construction and Pre-commissioning activities against the project schedule
 10. Supports the Head of Construction in preparation and finalizing of the periodical project reports and presentations
 11. Identifies and brings to the attention of Head of Construction, any potential problems which could delay construction or cause cost deviations and could have an adverse effect on the project and provides recommendations for mitigation measures
