In your role as Senior Nurse Educator (SNE) you will be responsible for developing curricular, educational programmes and activities with the aim of supporting the teams in delivering high standards of care within a Paediatric setting.
You will be required to consults with corporate managers to ensure effectiveness of educational activities. you will be required to evaluate this process to facilitate and enhance achievement of individual, departmental, and organisational goals In addition, you will act as the resource person to assist and guide the Nurse Educators so they can develop experiential competency based learning opportunities to improve corporate nurses' performance.
As SEN you will undertake your roles from the perspective of the organisation as a whole and establishes educational goals within the framework of the strategic plans and mission of the Nursing Department.
This role is very varied and offers opportunity to further develop up the career path for the right individuals.
You will need to have a Bachelor Degree in Nursing (minimum), at least 5 years experience in nurse education, and 3-5 years practise in an acute paediatric setting. You will also be required to have a working knowledge of performance improvement processes.
