Job Description: Position: Mechanical Engineer PE
Job location: Salt Lake City
Responsibilities/basic qualifications:
Develop detailed mechanical specification and construction packages for the mining and petrochemical industry projects.
Prepare calculations and technical reports, verify codes and engineering standards of practice;
Resolve issues or problems concerning conflicting design requirements, specifications and/or difficult coordination requirements;
Responsible for keeping projects on schedule and meeting all submittal milestones;
Attend site visits to determine design constraints and compliance with applicable codes, standards and construction documents;
Develop and/or manage detailed engineering drawings including mechanical or piping technical and construction specification;
Knowledge of conveyor and material handling equipment, pressure vessels and tanks;
Participate to preparation of Engineering proposal;
Assist clients throughout procurement process and during construction period;
Requirements:
The successful candidate will have a mechanical engineer background, Professional Engineer registration in the State of Utah, Advanced computer skills. Experience in the Mining and/or petrochemical design is an asset.
Five to Ten years of experience in Industrial fields and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
